Kwame & Mr. Andrew

Mr. Andrew, an Americorps member with Pittsburgh Public Schools, often sits with Kwame to help him with his school work.

Recently, many of the kids have been having a hard time sitting and staring at the computer screen and doing digital work for long periods of time. To help focus, they are given breaks and outside time if they are well behaved and finish their work.

Kwame’s favorite subject to learn in school right now is math; he loves math, and he loves play time, running around and playing video games. Kwame shows us the importance of working hard and playing harder.
